Henry Mnacini was an American Composer, Musical Arranger, Conducter, musician, Piano Player, and Flautist. He is widely considered to be one of the greatest composers in the history of Film. Mancini Won 4 Oscars, a Golden Globe, and 20 Grammy Awards. His most famous works include :

Moon River and the musical score of Breakfast at Tiffany's, The Pink Panther Theme Song and musical score of the movies and TV Show, The Theme of Peter Gunn, and the Love Theme of Romeo

and Juliet.

Henry Mancini recorded 90 albums in the styles of the Big Band Era, Light Classical, and Pop Music.

Moon RIver always brings me back to my early childhood when I was a little boy of just 4 years old when Andy Williams recorded Henry Mancini's great theme of Breakfast at Tiffany's in 1962. The movie starring Audrey Hephurn came out in 1961, and Audrey sang Moon River in the film.

It was Andy William's recording of the song that would become a huge hit record in 1962, and is the most loved and well known version of the song. Andy Williams had a wonderful voie and did a great job with it.

When I was a young boy, I thouhgt that the Delaware Water Gap and the Delaware River was the actual Moon River, as my father had taken us for a picnic at the Delaware Water Gap in 1962 and I heard Andy Williams singing Moon River on the radio in my fathers car (a Plymouth).

It would be about 12 years later the first time I saw the movie Brakfast at Fiffany's, starring Audrey Hephurn. I had fallen in love with Audrey a few years before when I saw her in Sabrina, and that was it for me, Love at 1st sight. Breakfast at Tiffany's was only the second film I had seen by Miss Hephurn, and I loved it. The movie also starred George Pepard, and featured Buddy Epson, MartiN Balsam, and Mickey Rooney, and the beautiful music of the great musical arranger Henry Mancini.
