80s Music Anthems Songs Top 1980s

GIRLS JUST WANT to HAVE FUN

Cyndi Lauper

"GIRLS JUST WANT to HAVE FUN"

1983

“A lot of people don’t realize this, but ‘Girls’ is really a political song,” Lauper said in a statement about the track she flipped to have a female perspective based on the original penned by songwriter-performer Robert Hazard. “When I got my feminist hands on it, I knew I wanted to make it into an anthem for all women. Sonically, I wanted the song to be uplifting and joyful. When it came time to make the video, it was really important to me to make sure we included women from every walk of life. I wanted every little girl watching the video to have the joyful experience of seeing herself on that screen. I wanted us to be a community.”The track was originally a man's account of bedding women—until Cyndi Lauper transformed it into a rallying cry for sexual equality. It was 1983, and women were starting to get loud.

Great Music 60s and 1970s

"ME TOO" !!!

21st CENTURY MUSIC SUCKS !!!

The above Picture & Caption says a lot, but it doesn't say it all.

Yes, it's 2022, and those with good musical taste listen to Music from the 60's. 70's & 80's, simply because those 3 decades produced some of the greatest, most wonderful music of all times, especially in the 1960's and 1970's, with thousands of fabulous R&B songs, sung and recorded by hundreds of talented musicians (unlike those today) from Motown, Staxs, The Philadelphia Sound and more.

Yes, and besides great R&B music, the 60s & 70s was the Heyday of Great Rock N' Roll bands like : The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Led Zepelin, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, The Doors, and many more. We had great Pop Music with the Top 100 which included all genres of music, including great vocalist like Frank Sinatra, Perry Como, Jerry Vale, and Tony Bennett (Benedetto). "hey they're all Italian?  Yes many great singers and musicians of the 60s & 70s were Italian, including the late great Bobby Darin who died way to youn, Dean Marin (Dino Crochetti), Dion DiMucci, Frankie Valle, Franki Avalon (Venus), and others. We had it all. Some of the greatest music of all-time. Certainly the Greatest Music of the past 125 years or so. So waht happened? Whyis the music of the 21st Century so "Terrible" ??? I just don't get it? I'll say it over and over again, "I just don't get it/ What happened to music" ? It sucks now. And again, THank God for all the great music of the 60s and 1970, that I could listen to all that great music of those two decades, and even into the 1980s, hwich although the music was nowhere near as great as the 1960's and 70's, it was quite good, and it didn't suck, like the music today, which is "Horrible" devoid of melody, rythym, and any talent, other then a very small handful of musicians at all. WTF ???

Anyway, I've said it over and over again, and I'll keep saying it, "What Happened to Music?" And why does the "Music of The 21st Centurt Suck So Bad" ? I just don't understand.

Basta !!!

"KANYE WEST" ?

"Never Heard of Her"

One of the greatest and most influential and "Talented" musicans and songwriters of the 21st Century, Keith Richards stating How Irrelevent Kanye West is to people with taste. Kanye does not matter at all. He's so irrelevant it isn't funny. Irrelevaent to those with great taste in music. His fans have no taste what-so-ever, so he's irrelevent and a Total Joke.

Basta !!!

MICK JAGGER

POSITANO

1968

Mick Jagger did an Interview with Rolling Stone Magazine in 1995 .. This little tidbit below is an excerpt from that interview. Mick talks about being on a little vacation in Positano with Keith. They wrote "Midnight Rambler" in that little town on the Amalfi Coast in Southern Italy in the Summer of 1968.

Question :  Who wrote “Midnight Rambler”?

Mick Jagger :

"That’s a song Keith and I really wrote together. We were on a holiday in Italy. In this very beautiful hill town, Positano, for a few nights. Why we should write such a dark song in this beautiful, sunny place, I really don’t know. We wrote everything there – the tempo changes, everything. And I’m playing the harmonica in these little cafes, and there’s Keith with the guitar."
