This one was Won by a Well Deserving STEVIE WONDER, one of music's Greatest Artist of A;; Time, unlike SHITTY So-Called Musical Artists like the A-HOLE Kanye West and more about 90% of the SHITTY musicians making NOIES today in the 21 Century, History's Worst Century of Music Ever !!! What a DAM SHAME they don't make Good Music anymore and for the Past 20 YEARS or So.

If he was around trying to make it in the music business back in the 60s and 70s when there were Great Musical Acts like HAROLD MELVIN & THE BLUE NOTES, THE STYLISTICS, THE CHIFFONS, THE ROLLING STONES, FRANK SINATRA (still around then), DIANNA ROOS & The SUPREMES, The MAMMAS & THE PAPAS and so many more the list goes on and on. KANYE would have never made it in the music business and would have had to work for a living instead of making MILLIONS of DOLLARS a Year for making SHITTY MUSIC that people with HORRIBLE Taste buy and support as a large Majority of the public of the United States has such CRAPPY TATSTE in MUSIC and other things like SHITTY TV SITCOM SHOWS and what-not ..
It is so very sad to see what has happened to MUSIC in the PAST 20 YEARS or so, that it SUCKS So BAD, it's PITIFUL ... Well as I've said, myself and those who do have GOOD TATSTE are able to listen to The Sounds of SINATRA, POP, R&B, and ROCK Music from the 60s, 70s and 80s. All I can say is thank God for all those great Musical Artist as they don't Make ANY GOOD MUSIC ANYMORE ... JUST SHIT Like KANYE and all The HORRIBLE RAP and so-called alternative Rock and all the other SHIT whatever it's called. It's so very sad......

James Francis "Jimmy" Durante (February 10, 1893 – January 29, 1980) was an American singer, pianist, comedian, and actor. His distinctive clipped gravelly speech, New York accent, comic language butchery, jazz-influenced songs, and prominent nose helped make him one of America's most familiar and popular personalities of the 1920s through the 1970s. He often referred to his nose as the Schnozzola (from the Yiddish schnoz [nose]), and the word became his nickname.
Durante was born on the Lower East Side of New York City. He was the youngest of four children born to Rosa (Lentino) and Bartolomeo Durante, both of whom were immigrants from Salerno, Italy. Bartolomeo was a barber, and his wife Rosa was the sister of a woman who lived in the same boarding house. Young Jimmy served as an altar boy at Saint Malachy's Roman Catholic Church, known as the Actor's Chapel.
Durante dropped out of school in seventh grade to become a full-time ragtime pianist. He first played with his cousin, whose name was also Jimmy Durante. It was a family act, but he was too professional for his cousin. He continued working the city's piano bar circuit and earned the nickname "Ragtime Jimmy", before he joined one of the first recognizable jazz bands in New York, the Original New Orleans Jazz Band. Durante was the only member not from New Orleans. His routine of breaking into a song to deliver a joke, with band or orchestra chord punctuation after each line, became a Durante trademark. In 1920 the group was renamed Jimmy Durante's Jazz Band. Also, Jimmy Durante was the first white bandleader to feature black musicians in his live band, as Achille Baquet, a light-skinned black clarinetist who could pass as white, played and recorded in Durante's Original New Orleans Jazz Band (1918–1920).

The Song YESTERDAY WHEN I WAS YOUNG tells a story of a man reflecting on his life. He recounts how he had wasted his youth on self-centered pursuits, and that, now that he is older, he will not be able to do all that he had planned; this implies that he may be close to his impending death. The song is poignantly beautiful and bittersweet and one of my all-time favorites.
YESTERDAY WHEN I WAS YOUNG was Written by Charles Aznavour performed this song with Patrick Bruel in a live performance. This version can be heard on Aznavour's 40 chansons d'or album.
In the United States, the best-known version was recorded by country music performer Roy Clark. His version became his biggest hit up to that time on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart, peaking at No. 9 in August 1969, and indeed, it became his only top 40 pop hit, peaking at No. 19. Clark performed the song at Mickey Mantle's funeral in 1995, at Mantle's personal request.[2]
Amanda Lear recorded her personal version for her 2001 CD Heart.
The song has been performed and recorded by many international stars, such as Bing Crosby, Shirley Bassey, Dusty Springfield, Roy Clark, Mel Torme, Lena Horne, Andy Williams, Jimmy Durante, Bobby Bare, Al Martino, The Peanuts, Glen Campbell, Julio Iglesias, Eddy Mitchell, Dean Reed,[4] Johnny Mathis, Marc Almond, Patricia Kaas, Nora Aunor, etc., and an uptempo version by Blossom Dearie. Accordig to Billboard, more than 90 versions of the song were recorded before 1972.[
In 2008 Aznavour and Elton John performed "Yesterday When I Was Young" for Aznavour's Duos album
